This mala prayer beaded necklace is used by many cultures and religions to count and recite mantras. There are 108 beads + a distinct gold plated bead as a marker. The mantras are recited and counted by bead until the the marker bead is reached. The prayer maybe repeated multiple times as well. This mala beaded necklace is crafted from the best jadeite jade. They do not come from a manufactured machine, so they will not be perfectly round. Hand carving the beads creates more texture in the mala necklace.
