NATURAL JADE: This is a high grade black jadeite jade (Omphacite) pendant necklace. It is exquisitely hand carved. It is is one of a kind! The pendant is completely natural jade, un-dyed, and in its natural form.
CARVING: This pendant is hand carved in the form of Guan Yin with a dragon. Guan Yin is known as the "Goddess of Mercy." She is known to be a benevolent symbol that eases the pain and suffering of the world. She is a symbol of hope and kindness. In this carving, Guan Yin is depicted as standing and commanding the protection of a dragon. The dragon protect the wearer of this necklace, along with Guan Yin.
The carving on this piece is exquisite and very detailed. You can see Guan Yin's face very clearly as well as her stance and the dragons surrounding her. The back of the pendant is a special matte style carving. Matte style carving can only be done on high quality jade. Take a look at the pictures and video to see this feature.
