CARVING: The pendant is carved in the form of the Chinese Zodiac - Dragon. This jade piece has beautiful dark green hues. It is absolutely stunning hand carving, you can see the details of the dragon hair, claws, and scales. It depicts a dragon with its claws reaching for a dragon ball. The piecew is dual sided carved. On the back you can see aa dragon tail along with dragon legs. Double-sided carving is a very premium carving style, especially at the the level of detail this piece has!
CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes weeks of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. In this case, the master carver wanted to emphasize the strong green hues in the stone. If you look at the piece, the carving is so detailed you can even see the individual dragon hair and claws. This piece is custom artwork that is designed based on the stone. This means there is only one piece like this in the world!
