CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes days of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. In this case, the master carver wanted to emphasize the strong green tones, which is a premium color in jade. If you look at the piece, the hand carving art is specifically formulated to emphasize the green colors. This piece is custom artwork that is designed based on the stone. The hand carving is very detailed where the master carver's work is so exquisite that even small features such as leaves can be seen.
