CARVING: The pendant is carved in the form of the Chinese Zodiac - Tiger. The tiger is depicted as climbing a mountain.
CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes weeks of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. In this case, the master carver wanted to emphasize the strong green hues in the stone. If you look at the piece, the hand carving art is specifically formulated to emphasize the strong green tones. This piece is custom artwork that is designed based on the stone. This means there is only one piece like this in the world!
The hand carving is very detailed where the master carver's work is so exquisite that even small features such as tiger fur can be seen.
