CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes weeks of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. The hand carving is very detailed where the master carver's work is so exquisite that even small features such as phoenix feathers can be seen. This is known as "Toothpick" Hand Carving - meaning the carving is so detailed it is being carved and detailed one little dot at a time. This is a premium level type of hand carving and takes a monumental effort by the master carver to perform.
