NATURAL JADE: This is a high grade jade pendant necklace. The pendant is completely natural stone jadeite jade. It is completely natural, un-dyed, and in its natural form.

CARVING: The pendant is carved jade in the form of the Guan Yin, the Buddhist "Goddess of Mercy." Guan Yin is the Chinese translation of Avalokitevara, the Buddha of compassion. She also symbolizes harmony and compassion. When wearing the Guan Yin symbol, it is said to protect its wearer and endow them with wisdom, harmony, and compassion.

In this piece, Guan Yin is depicted with a thousand hands in this jade pendant. The thousand arms depict Guan Yin reaching out and helping those in need, as she is the goddess of mercy helping those that need it. There is a dragon depicted on the bottom right for protection as well.

JADE COLOR: Pendant has beautiful green tones. It is semi-translucent stone and allows light to shine through when held against the light or sun. This allows for a "glowing effect" when light reflects on the stone, which is beautiful under natural sunlight. This is a premium quality in jadeite jade.
