About This Piece

This mala prayer necklace features 18 hand-carved beads plus two decorative beads crafted from high-grade untreated Type A jadeite jade. Traditionally used for mantra counting and meditation, each bead is individually carved with natural variations in shape, texture, and color. The beads display beautiful multi-color jade tones including green, purple, red, and yellow. This natural jade mala bracelet is non-elastic and designed primarily for holding and prayer use, but an elastic version can be made upon request.

Our Jade Standard

At Aria Design Collection, we sell only natural untreated jade — never dyed, polymer-filled, acid-washed, or artificially enhanced.

There are only two true forms of jade: jadeite and nephrite. Our jadeite pieces are Type A (also known as Grade A), meaning they are completely natural and untreated.

Nephrite does not use the Type A/B/C classification system, but all of our nephrite pieces are likewise guaranteed to be natural and untreated.

We do not sell imitation jade, composite materials, or treated stones.

What Type A / Grade A Jadeite Means

When jadeite is classified as Type A, it has received no chemical treatment of any kind. There is no acid washing, no polymer impregnation, no dye or color enhancement. This preserves the jade's internal structure, natural translucency, and long-term stability.

What We Never Sell

Most jade sold online today has been chemically altered. We never sell Type B jadeite jade (acid-washed and polymer-filled), Type C jade (dyed), Type B+C jade (acid-washed and dyed), or reconstructed, compressed, or imitation jade. These materials degrade, yellow, and lose value over time.
