CARVING: This pendant is hand carved in the form of a baby buddha.
The carving on this piece is exquisite and very detailed. You can see baby buddha's face very clearly as well as her meditating pose and hand posture. The pendant has a very special two polishing carving style. This means some parts are matte style polish and other parts are "shiny" polished. This blend of polishing and refining creates a unique high end feel for the pendant. This type of hand stone polishing is a premium and is very labor intensive to complete. This pendant also has dual sided carving!
JADE COLOR: This is a black jade (Omphacite) carving. It has beautiful dark black tones. The dark tones also have reflective qualities. You can see how it reflect a lot of light in the pictures and videos. For Black Jade (Omphacite), the more oil like it is, the more valuable it is. In this piece, the oil texture is great with lots of reflective properties. This piece has semi translucent properties at one area on the top of the pendant. When a light is shine from the bottom of the pendant, it will show as a dark green. This is the special property of black jade Omphacite.
