CARVING: This pendant is hand carved in the form of the Monkey King. In this carving, the Monkey King, a mythological magic monkey, is carved in a meditative stance. The Monkey King represents resistance, longing for freedom, and individualistic heroism. He is often viewed as a protector because of his protagonist role in the novel "Journey to the West" where he fights evil and protects his master from harm. This symbol represents: cleverness, wit, great abilities, daring to fight, and distinguishing right from wrong.
The pendant bail is made with solid 18K Yellow Gold. It is fairly large and can fit large chains up to 5.5 mm.
Pendant 5 is masterfully crafted and gold framed with 18K Solid Gold. It depicts the monkey king with his traditional crown in the mythology "Journey to the West".
