CARVING: The pendant is hand carved to depict a deer under a tree. The jade carving blends in with the beautiful dark green shades throughout the piece. The scene in the jade is exquisitely hand carved. This piece is a a true hand carving masterpiece!
CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes weeks of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. In this case, the master carver wanted to emphasize the strong green hues in the stone. If you look at the piece, the carving is so masterfully carved and blended in to the jade texture and color. This piece is custom artwork that is designed based on the stone. This means there is only one piece like this in the world!
JADE COLOR: This piece has beautiful white green. It is semi-translucent stone and allows light to shine through when held against the light or sun. This allows for a "glowing effect" when light reflects on the stone, which is beautiful under natural sunlight.
