CARVING: This pendant is a natural jade hand carving that depicts Buddha looking down on earth and observing and guiding the sentient life to the path of enlightenment. The bottom left is a hand carving of the ancient buddhist scriptures.

CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes weeks of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. In this case, the master carver wanted to emphasize the dark green hues in the stone. If you look at the piece, the hand carving art is specifically formulated to emphasize the strong green hues. This piece is custom artwork that is designed based on the stone. This means there is only one piece like this in the world!

The hand carving is very detailed where the master carver's work is so exquisite that even small features such as the Buddha's face and the carving of the flowers. This is known as "Toothpick" Hand Carving - meaning the carving is so detailed it is being carved and detailed one little dot at a time. This is a premium level type of hand carving and takes a monumental effort by the master carver to perform.

JADE COLOR: This jade piece has beautiful semi-translucent tones with striking hues of green. The green tones are very strong which means this is a premium and high grade jadeite jade. The greener the jade the more expensive it is considered because it is more rare to find in nature. It is absolutely stunning hand carving, you can see the details of the buddha's face and the decorative carving. This is a really great stunning large pendant piece.
