NATURAL JADE: This is a high grade jade pendant necklace. The pendant is completely natural jadeite jade. It is un-dyed and in its natural form.

CARVING: The pendant is exquisitely hand carved jade (one of a kind!) in the form of the Guan Yin, the Buddhist "Goddess of Mercy." This piece has beautiful olive green colors in the jade piece.

Guan Yin is the Chinese translation of Avalokiteśvara, the Buddha of compassion. She also symbolizes harmony and compassion. When wearing the Guan Yin symbol, it is said to protect its wearer and endow them with wisdom, harmony, and compassion. In this piece, the Goddess of Mercy is depicted as meditating on a lotus symbolizing the peace, harmony, wisdom, and positive thoughts she brings to the world and the wearer of this piece.

JADE COLOR: Jade has beautiful dark green hues throughout. This piece is semi-translucent as well; this means when held against the light, the light will partially shine through - a premium quality in jade because it gives the jade a "glow" under certain lighting such as natural light.

NECKLACE: The necklace length size is 24''. It is considered more of a long necklace. The clear beads on the necklace are made from natural albite stone with matte polishing, very beautiful.
