NATURAL JADE: This is a high grade jade pendant necklace. The pendant is completely natural jadeite jade.

CARVING: The pendant is exquisitely hand carved jade (one of a kind!) in the form of the Majur Buddha (Also known as Wen Shu). Majur is depicted as a male bodhisattva next to a lion. The scripture supported by the padma (lotus) held in his left hand is a Prajpramit stra, representing his attainment of ultimate realization from the blossoming of wisdom. Majur is often depicted as riding on a lion. This represents the use of wisdom to tame the mind, which is compared to riding or subduing a ferocious lion.

JADE COLOR: This jade piece has beautiful shades of green and light gray green. This piece is semi-translucent as well; this means when held against the light, the light will partially shine through - a premium quality in jade because it gives the jade a "glow" under certain lighting such as natural light.
