NATURAL JADE: This is a high grade black jadeite jade (Omphacite) pendant necklace. It is exquisitely hand carved. It is is one of a kind! The pendant is completely natural jade, un-dyed, and in its natural form.

CARVING: This pendant is hand carved in the form of Guan Yin meditating on a lotus. Guan Yin is the Chinese translation of Avalokiteśvara, the Buddha of compassion. She also symbolizes harmony and compassion. When wearing the Guan Yin symbol, it is said to protect its wearer and endow them with wisdom, harmony, and compassion. In this piece, the Goddess of Mercy is depicted as meditating on a lotus symbolizing the peace, harmony, wisdom, and positive thoughts she brings to the world and the wearer of this piece.

The carving on this piece is exquisite and very detailed. You can see Guan Yin's face very clearly as well as her meditating pose and hand posture. Piece has both smooth and matte polish for the stone, this is a premium stone carving texturizing that brings more life to the piece.

JADE COLOR: This is a black jade (Omphacite) carving. It has beautiful dark black tones. The dark tones also have reflective qualities. You can see how it reflect a lot of light in the pictures and videos. For Black Jade (Omphacite), the more oil like it is, the more valuable it is. In this piece, the oil texture is great with lots of reflective properties. This piece is slightly semi-translucent properties at multiple areas (near top of pendant).
