CARVING PROCESS: The hand carving is performed by a master carver and takes weeks of work. The master carver first designs the artwork by taking account the natural jade features. In this case, the master carver wanted to emphasize the great hues in the stone. If you look at the piece, the carving is so detailed you can even see the individual turtle shell scales. This piece is custom artwork that is designed based on the stone. This means there is only one piece like this in the world!
