Guan Yin is the Chinese translation of Avalokiteśvara, the Buddha of compassion. She also symbolizes harmony and compassion. When wearing the Guan Yin symbol, it is said to protect its wearer and endow them with wisdom, harmony, and compassion. In this piece, the Goddess of Mercy is depicted as meditating on a lotus symbolizing the peace, harmony, wisdom, and positive thoughts she brings to the world and the wearer of this piece.

JADE COLOR: The piece is light olive green tones with white and light green jade tones. It is semi-translucent stone and allows light to shine through when held against the light or sun. This allows for a "glowing effect" when light reflects on the stone, which is beautiful under natural sunlight. This is a premium quality in jadeite jade.
